Tom leads the strategic direction of PIP’s AI & Data practice, advising Private Equity firms and Portfolio Company leadership teams on how to leverage data, analytics, automation, and AI to drive operational transformation and enterprise value creation. He joined PIP following the firm’s acquisition of AlphaAdvisors, the AI and data advisory firm he co-founded.

Tom brings more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of executive strategy, advanced analytics, and emerging technology. His background is unique in that it combines deep technical expertise as a hands-on data scientist and solution architect with extensive experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives and advisory teams. Over the course of his career, he has helped organizations modernize data environments, operationalize AI capabilities, and align technology investments with long-term business strategy across financial services, media, entertainment, consumer products, manufacturing, healthcare, and the public sector.

Prior to AlphaAdvisors, Tom held leadership roles at IBM, JPMorgan Chase, Grant Thornton, and Riveron. At IBM, he led the services group within the Watson team, focused on advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions. Throughout his career, Tom has remained deeply involved in the technical side of solutioning, with experience spanning cloud data architecture, machine learning, statistical modeling, and enterprise analytics platforms. He is recognized for his ability to bridge executive vision with practical execution, helping organizations translate complex analytical and AI concepts into scalable business capabilities and measurable outcomes.

Tom earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and Mathematics from City University of New York, Queens and his MS in Economics at Hunter College. He is a frequent speaker and advisor on enterprise AI adoption, advanced analytics, and the evolving role of data and AI in shaping business strategy and organizational transformation.
