Director, Client Services – Head of Central & Western US

Connor McClean leads client engagement and relationship development across the Central and Western U.S. for Performance Improvement Partners. He partners with private equity sponsors and portfolio company leadership to align technology diligence, integration, and post-close value creation initiatives with measurable EBITDA impact and risk reduction. With nearly a decade of experience across the private equity and M&A ecosystem, Connor brings perspective spanning transaction advisory, structured risk solutions, and technology-enabled transformation across energy, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

Prior to rejoining PIP, Connor served as Senior Vice President at Atlantic Group (acquired by Howden), advising sponsors on complex transaction execution and risk allocation. He previously held leadership roles at PIP and supported large-cap private equity diligences at AlphaSights. Connor earned a B.A. in Political Science from Newcastle University and is based in Houston, Texas.

Originally from Scotland, Connor moved to the United States full-time in 2019. Outside of work, he recently completed Pan-Mass Challenge (a 200-mile bike ride in aid of Cancer Research), is a self-described weekend golfer, and is a former Division I rugby player with the screws and plates to prove it. He and his wiener dog, Ernie, keep busy in Houston.
